Presentation Description: Have you ever felt conflicted about the environmental impact of your work in international education? Often, our efforts seem at odds with our commitment to being “green”. This session will demonstrate how we all can better align our passions for International Education and sustainability by taking concrete, low cost, and easy steps towards greener practices. Learn how providers and universities are engaging with climate action and supporting more sustainable study abroad programs. Come listen, learn, and collaborate with us to help protect our planet!
Learning Objectives:
… take away steps they can use to improve sustainable practices by engaging and leveraging campus departmental contacts, collaborating with study abroad partners, and involving students in sustainability initiatives.
After the presentation, attendees will have a better understanding of CANIE (Climate Action Network for International Educators) and how to become a member.
After the presentation, attendees will have increased knowledge of sustainability -focused study abroad options; and how to market/highlight these programs.
