Presentation Description: Discover strategies for diversifying faculty-led education abroad programs in terms of geographic destinations and academic disciplines, including STEM, health sciences, and professional degree programs. Join education abroad professionals as they discuss the importance of broadening program offerings, share methods for engaging faculty and students from a wide range of academic units, and explore tools to overcome recruiting challenges. Gain insights from a third-party provider specializing in customized short-term programs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Learning Objectives:

Assess current portfolio of faculty-led education abroad programs and identify gaps, focusing on geographic and academic diversity.
Generate ideas for engaging faculty, staff, and students from underrepresented academic units, as well as promoting programs in less traditional locations.
Create a concrete plan for introducing a new geographic and/or academic focus in education abroad offerings within the upcoming year.
