Presentation Description: This session will discuss the monumental changes that have occurred in intercollegiate athletics as a result of the “Name, Image & Likeness” (NIL) movement, and how these changes can significantly impact international student-athletes.  Let the ghoul times roll!

Learning Objectives:

  • After my presentation, attendees will be able to understand what Name, Image & Likeness is, and what impact it may have on international student athletes.
  • After my presentation, attendees will be able to understand employment restrictions and authorizations for F-1 students, including how these may intersect with NIL deals for international student athletes.
  • After my presentation, attendees will be able to have an idea of how potential further developments in intercollegiate athletics may impact international student athletes.
