Fiona McEntee is the Founding and Managing Attorney of McEntee Law Group.
She originally came to the U.S. as an international student from Ireland, and she is now a proud dual U.S./Irish citizen.
Fiona and her team of passionate advocates represent individuals and families, as well as the world’s leading musicians, artists, athletes, innovative entrepreneurs, and multinational and U.S. companies. They counsel their clients on the ever-changing immigration policies and help them achieve the American Dream.
Fiona is the Former Chair and Member of the Media and Advocacy Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the bar association of over 16,000 immigration lawyers. Fiona is regularly tapped for her immigration thought leadership by major media outlets including MSNBC, BBC, CNN.com, The New York Times, Politico, Chicago Tribune, Irish Central, Irish Times, and RTÉ.
Fiona has won many awards and honors including the Best Lawyers in America; Top 100 Attorneys and Top 50 Women Attorneys in Illinois, Super Lawyers List; Irish Legal Top 100; and ISBA Elmer Gertz Award for Human Rights. In 2019, Fiona was inducted into the Irish American Hall of Fame in the Irish American Heritage Center.
Fiona has been practicing immigration law exclusively for over 16 years. She is nationally and internationally known for her work especially with the extraordinary ability visa and green card (O-1/EB-1A) and with immigration options for startups. She regularly presents on this topic including leading panel discussions at national immigration law conferences. She is also a national advocate for the International Entrepreneur Parole (IEP) program and was successful in recently getting an IEP case expedited and approved, likely in record time!
Fiona has recently published her second book- U.S. Immigration Options for Startups: Accelerate Your American Dream. With her extensive experience on successfully navigating an immigration pathway for many startup founders, Fiona wrote this book as a guide for potential and current startup founders.
Her first book is a children’s book- Our American Dream – an award-winning book on immigration. As a mom of two young children, an immigrant, and an immigration lawyer who fights for justice every day, Fiona wrote Our American Dream to explain the importance of a diverse and welcoming America.
