Katie Franklin currently works at Wayne State University. Previously she worked with University of Detroit Mercy as a program manager and ESL instructor. She also taught ESL classes and coordinated programs in Colombia, S.A. in addition to teaching communication courses at Central Michigan University during her graduate career. Between graduate school and her career in Colombia, she was a director's assistant and office manager at NIH’s Division of International Services.
She has genuine enthusiasm in her work and supports all students in order for them to succeed. In her free time, Katie dances salsa, speaks Spanish and is learning Portuguese.
