Kayla Chepyator is a program coordinator for the Community College Initiative Program at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. This program, sponsored by the US Department of State and administered by Northern Virginia Community College, welcomes international students to develop leadership and professional skills as well as English proficiency while studying at a community college in the US. She studied Linguistics and Literature as well as African Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has an MA in African Languages and Literature. She has experience working in international studies as well as area studies programs. Kayla has study abroad experience in Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Tanzania and was a Fulbright-Hays GPA recipient.
