Sarah Mesick brings 15 years of community organizing, programmatic and administrative experience to NPNA. Sarah’s work empowers immigrant leaders and builds organizational capacity for immigrant-led service delivery. Prior, Sarah worked in Chicago at the Southwest Organizing Project, leading voter registration campaigns; building teams of immigrant leaders to advocate for policy change; leading a local New Americans Initiative; and, working in coalition to expand the largest parent engagement initiative in Illinois, the Parent Mentor Program. Sarah’s prior education includes studying at Loyola University Chicago, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM), the University of Minnesota and in Merida, Venezuela.
