Criminal Immigration Consequences

Presentation Description: This session will review the more common criminal offenses encountered by international students and how DSOs should respond when a student is charged with such an offense. It will also explain whether the offense will affect admissibility to the US and may result in removal proceedings. It will also propose how the DSO should respond internally within his/her institution and externally with ICE SEVP, ICE HSI and/or EVP.
