Doug Nguyen is the Regional Communications Director who oversees the public affairs program for the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) six-state Chicago Region. Doug is a frequent speaker for the National State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP), the Annual National Medicare National Training Programs (NTP), and the Illinois Association of Service Coordinators (IASC.) Doug currently serves as the Great Lakes Regional Lead for the White House Initiatives on AANHPIs (WHIAANHPI), the Rural Partners Network (RPN), and Unsheltered Homelessness (All In.) Doug is an alumnus of the Citizens Academy Programs of the Department of Justice’s FBI (2021) and ATF (2022). Doug has received numerous federal awards, including the Presidential Award for Volunteer Service in 2023 and Social Security Administration’s 2024 Commissioner’s Citation for Outreach to Vulnerable Populations, and he was a 2023 awardee of the Chicago Federal Executive Board for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
